The Guinness Storehouse is one of Ireland’s most visited tourist attractions, with over a million visitors each year. It is located at the  St. James’s Gate Brewery, where Guinness has been brewed since 1759.

The Storehouse building was built in 1902 as a fermentation plant for the brewery. It was used in the brewing process until 1988. Rather than demolish the building, Guinness transformed it into a visitor experience, opening the Guinness Storehouse to the public in 2000.

The Guinness brewery’s history dates back to 1759, when Arthur Guinness signed a famous 9,000-year lease for the St. James’s Gate site.

The Storehouse provides a full over few of the story of Arthur Guinness, the company and the brewing process through a combination of multimedia displays, artifacts and exhibits. You can also take part in guided tastings, taste a point and take in the views over Dublin from the Gravity Bar.
